Position Summary

Responsible for offering high-quality education to students through well-prepared classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, clear recording of student progress, and encouragement of academic success for at-risk students.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide lessons for the assigned courses.
  • Prepare all course materials and lessons in a professional manner.
  • Provide each student with a clear understanding of course requirements, evaluations, and timelines through the use of well-written topical outlines and an authorized, standardized syllabus.
  • Make sure your students have fun and relevant tasks that show how they learned in a real-world setting.
  • Suitably challenge, engage, serve, and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
  • Complete course assignment books, learning assessments, and final exam assessments on a timely basis.
  • Respond to student questions on a timely basis.
  • Identify at-risk students and refer them to appropriate academic support services.
  • Ensure that course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
  • Act as a substitute when needed.
  • Where applicable, ensure the safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment, and supplies.
  • Schedules for the office and classroom should be maintained.
  • Participate in and provide feedback to institutional committees and reporting.
  • Work with the team members and other appropriate groups on retention activities.
  • Assist the director of education with program evaluation and planning.

Audio Production Instructors Requirements:

  • 5+ recent years in field in positions such as but not limited to Music Engineer, Music Producer, Sound Designer, Live Sound Engineer, or Audio Designer
  • Certificate in audio production or similar is recommended.
  • Professional self-starter with a growth mindset.
  • Possesses experience in using digital audio hardware and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Possess a high level of motivation with a strong drive for results.
