Responsible for giving students with quality education by having well-prepared classrooms, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, comprehensive documentation of student progress, and support for the academic success of students who are at risk of failing in their studies.
Duties and responsibilities:
Teach assigned courses
Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons. Note preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course.
Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved, standardized syllabus.
Provide Interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting for custom courses.
Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect.
Complete course assignment books, learning assessments, and final exam assessments on a timely basis.
Respond to student questions on a timely basis.
Identify and refer at-risk students to specific academic support services.
Ensure that course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
Post and maintain office and classroom schedules.
Act as a substitute when needed.
Work with the team members and other appropriate groups on retention activities.
Sound Engineering Instructor Requirements:
2+ recent years in field in positions such as but not limited to Live Sound Engineer, Music Producer, Sound Designer, Music Engineer, or Audio Designer.
Possesses experience with Pro-Tools and Analog consoles
Experience developing inclusive and effective culturally responsive classroom activities.
Teaching experience in a multicultural setting
Professional self-starter with a growth mindset.
Experience with and knowledge of current and emerging technologies in the industry.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Possess a high level of motivation with a strong drive for results.
